The Office of the Vice President for Planning and Budgeting, primarily known as the Technical Office, was launched in 1991 coinciding with the establishment of Shahrekord University. After the first regulations were approved in 1994, it continued to operate as the Directorate of Planning and Budgeting, and it was promoted as the Office of the Vice President for Planning and Budgeting in 2008 due to the increasing advancement of the university.
Responsibilities
2Offering educational programs and workshops as well as holding seminars and congresses on productivity and administrative modification
2Evaluating the function and preparation of periodical reports about the productivity and administrative modification in the university
2Submitting responsibilities to the relevant sections and the organizational positions after being approved by the Board of Trustees
2Enforcing the approved regulations of the councils and the commission of productivity and administrative modification
2Searching and identifying the educational needs of the nonacademic staff and providing them with educational courses
2Determining the fields of studies pertinent to each organizational position with regard to the occupational category
2Supporting, guiding, and monitoring the productivity activities and the administrative modification
2Providing and offering guidelines to improve the administrative activities and productivity
2Suggesting budgets for the development projects to be approved by the annual budget of the country
2Preparing the required statistics about the activities and the human resources of the university
2Collecting the necessary information to manage the budget of the development projects
2Improving the management and productivity of education, research, and technology
2Submitting the approved budget of each section and monitoring the way it is spent
2Defending the amount of the proposed budget before the investigation authorities
2Estimating the required human resources of the university
2Attending the council meetings and committees regularly
2Examining and exchanging agreements
2Undertaking operational projects
2Collecting the proposed budgets
2Cooperating with the followings:
•The administrative assistants of the Science, Research, and Technology to make changes in the organizations of the university
•The Office of the Vice President for Finance and Administration on holding bids and signing contracts for the development projects
•The directors of different sections on the budget plans
2Overseeing the followings:
•The systems and approaches to review and improve them focusing on increasing the satisfaction of the staff and the clientele, facilitating the procedures, and corresponding to the emerging needs
•The suggestions put forward by the sections to change and amend the organizational positions and the responsibilities as well as trying to settle the problems
•The responsibilities of the relevant subsections to avoid any redundancy and interference in the activities of the university
•The organizational responsibilities of the university with regard to the development plan for the university
•The planning, optimization, and conformity of effective management systems
•The lists of the expenses ofthe development projects
•The budget management of the other sections
•The development projects of the university
2Conducting the followings:
•Studies on amending the structural and organizational hierarchy, the structure of human resources, the organizational culture, and the different systems of the university
•Studies to review the regulations and bylaws of the university to simplify and coordinate them
2Examining the followings:
•The occupational category of the staff
•The development projects and suggestions of the different sections based on the circulars and the approved agendas as well as pursuing the projects until they are completed
2Preparing the followings:
•The organizational hierarchy to coordinate the responsibilities of the relevant subsections with the positions
•The budget of the university in collaboration with the Office of the Vice President for Finance and Administration
•Construction and installation projects as well as repairing the buildings of the university
•The physical spaces of the university and providing therequired development credit
•The proposed budgets within the general frameworks of the university
•The comprehensive plan for the university, the lands, and the facilities
•The required materials for the development projects
