The Office of the Vice President for Research was launched in 2000 to coordinate, develop, and support research projects and programs along with doing long-term planning to transform and revolutionize the research and technological affairs of the university. The Office of the Vice President for Research is also in charge of research and technology.
Responsibilities
•Monitoring all the research affairs, the Central Library, the academic documents/certificates, the Information Dissemination Office (IDC), the data banks, the computer services, and the publications of the university
•Scheduling the research program of the university and determining research priorities in line with the academic development projects of the country
•Fulfilling all research and service contracts signed between the university and other executive organizations
•Conducting joint research with other universities and research centers
•Supporting the research projects and programs of the university
•Cooperating in offering academic, cultural, and social services
•Planning to offer sabbaticals to the academic members
•Conducting national and provincial research projects
•Cooperating with agricultural and industrial sectors
•Offering short- and long-term research programs
•Fostering and developing the culture of research
•Evaluating the research projects and programs
•Hosting academic seminars and conferences
•Encouraging research activities
•Exchanging academic services
